My staff informed me that yesterday's virgin blog was unprofessional and non work related. Well, one thing is for certain, we're filling that swear jar up!
Today was Photocopier Day.
John Malach asked if I believed in miracles.
I assigned Myrna, one of our volunteer receptionists, and near program graduate, to find us a free photocopier. One in which we could actually READ the words being copied, instead of having them embedded in the numerous grey zones on the paper. Well, one of her initial calls was to Gold Network Printing Solutions. John Malach, the President, had JUST, and I mean JUST the day before, told one of his clients, Impact Printers, to consider donating their old copier to charity.
Enter Myrna.
I had told Myrna it was going to be a tough assignment. I didn't want any sales calls. I didn't want to go into contract with anyone. I had ZERO budget for this project. Out of the clear blue she calls President John, who puts us in touch with Impact Printers, and "Voila!"
Today we learned how to copy, collate, staple, double-side, reduce, enlarge, and pretty much everything a copier can do. No service contract. No payment. Just a small delivery fee.
So, to answer your question, "Yes, John, I do believe in miracles."
